The Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum has been exploring the fascinating history of the county's pioneering past since it was founded in 1902. Established by children of the area's original settlers, the museum holds an assortment of photographs, documents and artifacts relating to local pioneer history and maintains the cabin of Miles Goodyear, a famous trapper and one of the first people to help establish a community in Utah. Situated near the city center, the museum and historic home are just a few blocks northeast of the old Union Station and its many family-friendly museum areas exploring local history.
